The Weight Band are premiering the new track "You're Never Too Old (to Rock 'n' Roll)" exclusively for readers of The Boot. Fans can press play above to watch a rowdy, raucous performance of the song from the Americana supergroup.

Co-written by the late, great Levon Helm, "You're Never Too Old (to Rock 'n' Roll)" is being released for the first time on The Weight Band's forthcoming album, World Gone Mad. It was originally demo'd by The Band in the 1990s, for their album Jericho. The Weight Band's guitar, mandolin and vocalist Jim Weider -- formerly a member of The Band -- played the song for Brian Mitchell, who plays keyboards and sings, and Mitchell updated the arrangement and lyrics for the recording.

"It's just good old rock 'n' roll," Weider tells The Boot.

This performance of "You're Never Too Old (to Rock 'n' Roll)" was filmed in Helm's famous Woodstock, N.Y. barn, where The Weight Band first jammed together and eventually decided to record their own album. The Weight Band officially recorded the track at Clubhouse Studio in Rhinebeck, N.Y.

In addition to "You're Never Too Old (to Rock 'n' Roll)," World Gone Mad features "Common Man," another tune co-written by Helm, and more songs that address life, love and the country's divisive political climate. The Weight Band includes former members of The Band, the Levon Helm Band and the Rick Danko Group

World Gone Mad is set for release on Feb. 23.
