As all things must, Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost's "Cornetto" trilogy is coming to an end this summer with 'The World's End.' This trilogy -- which started as something of a joke when 'Shaun of the Dead' came out -- is supposedly based on the three flavors of a British ice cream brand. And though we expect them to work together again, with Wright moving on to (possibly) 'Ant-Man' and Simon Pegg juggling his roles in 'Star Trek' 'Mission: Impossible' and possibly 'Star Wars,' it's hard to know when the band will get back together. In the interim, here's the trailer for their latest movie.

The trailer reveals the film's premise: As youths, five friends tried to do a twelve pub, all-day drinkathon but failed, so years later Gary (Pegg) rounds up the others (Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan) to finish what they started. But it turns out that most everyone in the town they visit (save, it seems, Rosamund Pike's character) have been possessed by aliens.

Up to this point, not much was revealed about the plot of the film, but it looks like a clever spin on the horror-comedy genre, the likes of which made 'Shaun of the Dead' one of the best films of the last ten years. And -- of course -- there's a new fence gag. 'The World's End' hits theaters August 23. Here's that trailer:
