Thompson Square were going to give it one more shot and then move on to something else. The married duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson say they had one more showcase as a duo lined up, and if that didn't work out, well ... fans would never know hit songs like 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not' or 'If I Didn't Have You.' Fortunately that performance led to a deal with Stoney Creek Records.

During an interview with Taste of Country Nights radio host Jeremy Robinson, Keifer and Shawna Thompson opened up about the frusturations of the music business, but also stressed how fortunate they feel to be where they are today. "Going from that to having the opportunity to be on tour with (Jason) Aldean," Keifer told host Jeremy Robinson, "and then going on with Lady A for an entire year and now Luke Bryan, are you kidding me?"

Add to that a Platinum record, Top Vocal Duo honors at both major country award shows and a new album called 'Just Feels Good' that's set to hit on March 26. Life is pretty good for T2 and their fans. Look for them to celebrate another Top Vocal Duo win at the ACM Awards on April 7 in Las Vegas. While they're there, both will enjoy some of the sins of the city. For Keifer it's blackjack.

"I'm more of a slot kinda gal," Shawna says.

"Yeah she's more of a $5 slot kinda gal," her husband is quick to point out. Even after three years of country success the man is still watching every dollar. The spirit of a struggling musician in still with him, it seems.
