Tim McGraw is working on a new album! It's been about three years since the country star released new solo music -- but in October of 2018, he shared a brand-new single, "Neon Church," along with another new song, "Thought About You." Both, McGraw says, are form an upcoming record.

McGraw's latest release is 2017's The Rest of Our Life, a collaboration with Faith Hill, his wife and fellow country star. His last solo album, Damn Country Music, however, came out all the way back in 2015. Here's what we know so far about the next project.

The Title

McGraw hasn't shared the title of his new album yet, but as soon as he does, we'll update that info here.

The Release Date

McGraw has promised that his new album is coming sometime in 2019. However, we don't have a confirmed release date yet.

The Record Label

McGraw's new album will be released via Columbia Nashville, part of the Sony Music Entertainment family. Both McGraw and Hill signed with Sony in early 2017.

The Album Cover

We don't have the cover art for the new album yet, as soon as we do we'll share it here.

The Producer

The two songs that McGraw has released so far were produced by long-time collaborator Byron Gallimore. It's not confirmed that he'll be at the helm of the rest McGraw's new project -- but it's a pretty good guess.

The Single

"Neon Church" is the first single off McGraw's upcoming album. Before releasing the song in early October, he teased his new single on social media with a picture of the single's artwork and a brief video clip.

McGraw says that Hill, in addition to upping his vocal game, was a big supporter of the tune: "She’s got a lot of favorites on the record we are working on, but this is one that she really gravitated to ... she didn’t have any complaints with this being the first single," he shares. "She loves the guitars on it and loves the lyric."

"Neon Church" was written by Ben Goldsmith, Ben Stennis and Ross Ellis. McGraw says "there’s not a misplaced word" in the tune.

The Songs

"Neon Church" and "Thought About You" are the first songs that McGraw has shared from his new project. McGraw says the two tracks are a good indication of the direction of his upcoming album.

"I really felt that both these songs were ready to be heard and will absolutely give a sense of where I’m going with my next project," McGraw says in a press release. "They're meaningful to me and show the diversity of what I’ve been working on musically."

The Tour

We don't have any details about a tour in support of McGraw's next record, but when we do, we'll update here.
