Not only is April 15th tax day it's also the day the sky will go dark. However, it's not the end of the world (even if it is tax day) A total lunar eclipse will begin at 2am that day. This is the first of a series of 4 total eclipse, known as a Tetrad, and the moon will turn red as a result. You will have to adjust your sleep schedule though in order to view the eclipse. It will officially begin at 11:53 am (April 14th) for our central time zone but it will take almost an hour before you will actually begin to notice the change.

About 2 am you will see a significant change and by 3am you will see the total eclipse, or the moon completely between the earth and sun. The moon will have a reddish glow when this happens. Then by around 5am the eclipse will end and life will proceed as normal.

If you are a night owl you might see this if not then you will sleep through it and not know anything ever happened. If you are an astronomy buff here is a little more detail on what you can expect.
