Trisha Yearwood is set to host her own Southern cooking show on the Food Network.

According to a statement from the network, Yearwood’s yet-untitled show is set in her kitchen and is scheduled to launch in September. The daytime series will feature the singer whipping up many of the recipes from her cookbooks Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen and Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood.

“Most of it is really basic, and that’s what I like about it,” Yearwood says of her recipes. “I am not a chef. I am a cook. And if it is hard to do or really time consuming or requires some kind of weird ingredient, I’m not going to make it. I’m quick to tell people I am not a chef, it is just basic stuff.”

A new television show isn’t the only thing the singer has to keep her busy — she is in the planning stages of another cookbook and still wants to start work on some new music.
