Poor Warren G. The West Coast legend made a fumble on the field when he recited the wrong words to “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and Twitter was quick and merciless with their ridicule.

Warren G was the guest of honor at the Chicago Cubs game this afternoon (April 29) and was asked to lead the crowd in singing the baseball classic anthem during the seventh inning stretch. Needless to say, Warren butchered it. Tripping over his words and forget the "out" in the first lyric line, shots of the crowd reveal and the dull roar of boo's around Wrigley Field revealed just how bad the rendition was. And because this slip-up was caught on live television, soon all of the Internet was commenting about just how bad Warren messed up. Awkward.

Ewven though this isn't one of his shining moments, the Regulator has had a lofty career in hip-hop. Warren G started out with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg in the Long Beach group 213. His most famous song, "Regulate" featuring Nate Dogg has become a West Coast staple over the years and even makes cultural references today. Earlier this month, popular YouTube gave "Regulate" the Sesame Street treatment with a hilarious spoof video. This tidbit of Internet fame was a tad more positive than his blunder earlier today. You can't win them all, G.

Check out the awkward performance and laugh along with some Twitter reacts above.
