Father’s Day is Sunday (June 16), which means countless men will find themselves by the grill with a beer in their hand in celebration of, well, themselves.

So why not keep them busy?

Beer Can Burgers are the ultimate manly dinner. Borrowed from our friends at Delish.com, there is no doubt that this recipe is pretty extreme and just might take a little while to prepare. But that’s okay. While the dads enjoy a much-deserved snooze in the recliner, you can make sure these burgers are ready for grilling once it's time to eat.

The ingredient list is long, that’s for sure. Joining together everything from bacon to cheddar cheese to onions, these burgers are packed with yummy goodness all thanks to a beer can that will be used to form the patties into a home for a multitude of ingredients.

Once the man in your life wakes up, send them outside with your creations, which will need to be grilled for 30 minutes. Once finished, these burgers and all their toppings will probably be bigger than one’s head.

Just the way we like it!

BEER CAN BURGERS

Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 beer can
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
8 slices bacon
4 burger buns
4 slices tomato
4 pieces of lettuce

Toppings

2 c. cubed cheddar
1 jalapeno, thinly sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
4 slices provolone

Directions

Heat grill to medium. In a large bowl, season beef with Worcestershire and garlic powder. Roll into ½-pound balls, then place a beer can in the middle to shape into a bowl. Press beef up the sides of the beer can. Gently twist beer can to come out of burger bowl and season with salt and pepper.

Wrap two slices of bacon around the bowl. If stuffing with cheddar and jalapeno, top with cheese and jalapenos. If stuffing with peppers and onions, stuff with peppers and onions and top with a slice of provolone. Grill until burger is cooked, 30 minutes for medium. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato.
