Chris Stapleton is giving back to his home state of Kentucky by staging an upcoming benefit show titled a Concert for Kentucky. Willie Nelson and Family, Sheryl Crow and Yola will all join Stapleton for the special concert, which is slated for April of 2020.

Stapleton is hosting and headlining a Concert for Kentucky, set to take place at the University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field in Lexington, Ky., on April 25. The benefit performance will be the first concert ever held at Kroger Field. One hundred percent of the net benefits from the special performance will go to Stapleton's Outlaw State of Kind Hometown Fund, which the country superstar and his wife, Morgane, launched in 2016. According to his official website, the fund "supports a variety of causes that are close to their heart ... and is administered by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee."

The Stapletons partnered with the Blue Grass Community Foundation for their fund, with the intention of supporting "local and national organizations directly impacting Kentucky." Initial grant distributions focused on music and arts education, but the Outlaw State of Kind fund has also supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Tennessee Wildlife Federation and more.
