Not only is Pixar making childhood dreams come true with the release of a new Toy Story movie, they're making our country music dreams come true, too, with the film's soundtrack. The animation studio enlisted Chris Stapleton to perform a song, penned by the award-winning Randy Newman, for Toy Story 4.

Readers can press play above to hear "The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy," which will soundtrack the ending credits of Toy Story 4, per a press release. The traditional honky-tonk tune, driven by a marching drum beat, pairs Stapleton's instantly recognizable voice with Newman's heartfelt yet childlike lyrics ("Now I got friends comin' out of my ears" is a favorite).

"You can't be happy when you're all by yourself / Go on, tell me I'm wrong (You're wrong) / When someone takes you down from the shelf and plays with you some / It's wonderful (wonderful)," Stapleton sings. "I was a lonesome cowboy / But not anymore."

"The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy," written from the perspective of the character Woody, is one of two new songs that Newman -- who has been involved with all three previous Toy Story movies, too -- penned for Toy Story 4. “Woody feels like he was a lonesome cowboy until someone comes along and changes his world," Newman says of the song. "Chris Stapleton did a great job on this song.”

“To me what has made the Toy Story films hold up over time has been the strength of the stories and the songs and the writing and the characters. There’s something for people of all ages to enjoy in the world that is Toy Story," says Stapleton. "It’s a tremendous honor to get to sing a Randy Newman song in what is without question one of the most iconic animated franchises in history.”

The movie's full soundtrack will be available on June 21, the same day on which Toy Story 4 opens in theaters. The new film follows Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks) taking craft project-turned-toy Forky (Tony Hale), created by his new owner Bonnie, under his wing. However, Woody winds up on an unexpected detour -- and involved in an unexpected reunion -- when Bonnie brings him and his friends on her family's road trip.
