With a new deal in hand with Rounder Records, Texan country music slinger Cody Jinks is ready to embark on the next chapter of his impressive career with the release of his new album, Lifers.

The album is set for release on July 27.

"What is success if you can't wake up everyday being who you really are?" Jinks says in a press release about the album that will kick off with the revealing single "Must Be the Whiskey."

"It makes complete sense that I'm at this place in my life. Country music found me when I was young and chased me down as I grew older," he says."

In a world where people are craving authenticity from the artists they love and invest in, no one delivers better than Jinks. The album is chock full of truthful anthems about the messiness of life, including songs "Holy Water," "Head Case" and "Stranger."

Lifers comes on the heels of the announcement of Jinks' first-ever curated music festival, the Loud and Heavy Fest. "I'm throwing a huge party for the Flockers, the fans, Texas, friends, and family," he says. The festival will take place on Aug. 18 in Fort Worth. "It all happens in Fort Worth at Panther Island. Bringing in nine other bands that I hand-picked. It is my hometown and my birthday, so make sure you join us all at the Loud and Heavy Fest party! This is year one and just the beginning."
