Hub City Comic Convention’s Official After Party Is at The Garden & Stars Marquis of Vaudeville
Hub City Comic Convention's official Friday night after party will be held at The Garden (1801 Buddy Holly), a lovely outdoor venue with great drinks. It'll make for a gorgeous August evening.
The entertainment will be an interesting band out of Dallas, Texas. I'll let this review describe them:
Delivering dreamy melodic guitars, powerful alt-rock vocals reminiscent of Muse's Matt Bellamy and a cabaret-infused punk sound…the band (Marquis of Vaudeville) captures moments of grandeur reminiscent of theatrical greats like the operatic Queen. [Their album] The Tragic Valentine, is listenable from start to finish, with moody melodies, driving rhythms and a dark, vaudevillesque undertone that it paints throughout, while remaining radio friendly. Their polished alt-rock sound and musicality notwithstanding a one-of-a-kind, theatrical stage show [are] what keep their fans coming back. — Deitra Magazine

So far, Hub City Comic Convention has announced that WWE Hall of Famer Lita, along with Lori Petty of Tank Girland Orange Is the New Black, and anime voice actors Kristen McGuire and Tiffany Volmer, are coming this year. We can't wait to see what else is in store.
