Jordan Davis takes fans on a journey they might not expect with his latest video, for single "Take It From Me." While his last video (for "Singles You Up") explored a desert landscape, this one goes 180 degrees and crawls through New York City's nightlife.

The edgy clip follows the escapades of a couple—in particular, the beautiful woman in the pair—who are brushing up against some dangerous activities, including pickpocketing and running from the law...all with a glamorous, hard cityscape behind them.

“We really wanted to mix it up with this," Davis told Billboard, who premiered the video on Tuesday (July 24). "Since ‘Singles You Up’ was shot in the desert in El Paso, Texas, the first thing that came to mind was New York. I love the energy and feeling you get when you’re in it, and thought it’d be a perfect fit for this video."

Davis also explained to Billboard that the song is about the early stages of a relationship, when anything goes." It doesn’t matter what she wants from you, she can take it—your time, your shirts, anything—she can have it. I think everybody has gone through that honeymoon phase of a relationship.”

Davis is currently enjoying the success of his debut album, Home State; he'll be on tour with Jake Owen through summer, and will be joining Kip Moore on the road in the fall.
