Kelsea Ballerini shared her newest song, "Club," during a performance at the 2019 People's Choice Awards on Sunday night (Nov. 10). Introduced by Blake Shelton as "one of country's hottest superstars," Ballerini was surrounded by a crew of backup dancers and disco ball-adorned stage during her performance.

Ballerini showed off a few dance moves of her own during the song, too. Dressed in combat boots and a fluffy pink dress that complemented her dancers' outfits, the singer grooved along to "Club" as she sang its lyrics, which weigh the benefits of going out against staying in -- and seem to land in favor of a cozy night at home.

Ballerini wrote "Club" on the same day she wrote her current single, "Homecoming Queen?" with Nicolle Galyon and Jimmy Robbins. Both songs come from the singer's forthcoming third studio album. Ballerini has yet to reveal the full details of that project, but she has shared that she's been working with some big-name co-writers and collaborators: pop artists Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder and Julia Michaels, as well as Lauv and Jon Bellion.

"It's just been so cool to get in the room with people who have an artist perspective because it just adds a different energy into the song. They're thinking about how it's going to translate onstage, too ... [That] just adds a different flavor than I've gotten to share before," Ballerini says. "Writing for the next project has been ... I've just been digging and just trying to figure out how I'm really feeling, what's really going on as a 25-year-old woman in this crazy world, so it's a lot more vulnerable than I think I've put out before."

The 2019 People's Choice Awards feature only a single country music-focused category, Country Artist of 2019. Ballerini was among the category's nominees, along with Carrie UnderwoodKane Brown, Thomas RhettLuke BryanMaren MorrisLuke Combs and winner Blake Shelton.
