Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, ‘It Is Well With My Soul’ [Exclusive Premiere]

Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers have arguably some of the best harmonies in country music. So when they sing the powerful hymn "It Is Well With My Soul," from the all-new collaborative record Voices: Vintage Hymns With Heart & Soul, it's absolutely riveting. The Boot readers are getting to hear their rendition of the Christian classic first in this exclusive premiere.

During the very first verse, "When peace, like a river, attendeth my way / When sorrows like sea billows roll / Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say / It is well, it is well with my soul," the Gatlins sing a cappella. The 11-track Voices album is the first release in a series. In addition to the Gatlins, the project features Michael English, Restless Heart’s Larry Stewart, Oak Ridge Boys members William Lee Golden and Joe Bonsall, Phil Keaggy, Judy Martin Hess, Joy Gardner and more.

"When they asked us to be a part of this classic hymns album, we jumped right on it," Larry Gatlin says in a press release. "Singing music for the Lord is what got us to where we are today. The good book says to 'sing for joy in the Lord,' and by the grace of God, we're really dern good at that."

Songs included on the Voices album include "In the Garden," "Old Rugged Cross," "In the Sweet By and By," "Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus" and many more.
