The A&E Network has added another spin off channel called FYI TV. There motto is 'A Network for your Imagination, Innovation, and Inspiration' and one of the shows on the channel is called 'Married at First Sight'. Yes, it is basically an arranged marriage of sorts; you don't meet the person you are marrying until you get to the alter.

The show is touted as an extreme social experiment. There are four experts on the show, a sexologist, spiritualist, psychologist and a sociologist, that match couples based on science.

The show follows the couples through marriage, honeymoon, and early married life. After being together for some time they are given the option to remain together or separate.

I don't know about you, but I'm not excited about this show being on TV. To me marriage is or should be a little more respected than exploited. I realize even if you 'pick' your mate it doesn't always work out but the institution of marriage should be a little more cherished. This show, to me, says it's ok  to get married and if you don't like it after a few weeks then just get out, no big deal. I guess these days people will do anything for 15 minutes of fame.
