Roger Creager may still be better known for his live shows, partying image and unmatched sense of humor and adventure than a studio musician, but that appears to be changing with every song he offers to radio. Creager has a more heartfelt, easy-going part to his personality, and he shows that side off with his new single, 'For You I Do'.

This song has a very relaxed, happy tone. Plain and simply put, 'For You I Do' is a sweet love song. Cleverly written (by Creager and Chris Hennessee), the song opens with a guy who explains how surprised he is that he's willing to change his way of living for someone special:

I never thought I'd miss the game
Every night it's the same old thing
Me and my buddies running around
We couldn't turn the good times down
I never thought I'd be the first to leave
The boys shake their heads in disbelief
But for you I do

The chorus takes this sentiment a step further, and the guy's feelings become more obvious.

Anything and everything to keep you loving me
I have learned that you deserve
A much better man than I could ever be
I never thought I'd ever change
I never had one thing to prove
But for you I do.

The rest of this song offers more of the same. It's easy to listen to, and Creager's vocals are as solid as they've ever been:

I'm used to saying what I want to say
I hope that you don't mind that I'm that way
Around the edges I'm a little rough
Still trying to figure out love
Only really ever thought of me
A family wasn't something that I'd dream
But with you I do

I'd do anything and everything to keep you loving me
I have learned that you deserve
A much better man than I could ever be
I never thought I'd ever change
I never had one thing to prove
But for you I do.

I have to say, the simplicity to this song is what is so appealing about it. There isn't a man in the world who hasn't felt the way the guy in this song does, and there isn't a lady who doesn't long to hear words like these spoken to them. We've all heard a million love songs, and 'For You I Do' is a really good one. Don't be surprised if you hear this song played at every wedding you attend this summer, and for years to come. 'This would be great for just about any country music loving bride and groom.

It would appear that Roger Creager has hit a comfort zone with his music. The Texas country star has been a safe bet to appear at the top of the charts with every single he releases, but it appears he has more to offer his fans than he used to. After making his mark with songs like 'Everclear' and 'I'm From The Beer Joint', Creager is now submitting a variety of songs to be heard on Lone Star radio. Roger is a more well-rounded and complete musician, and the Texas music scene is better for it.

Speaking of simple, here's the music video for Roger Creager's 'For You I Do'. It plays more like a home video than anything, but it's a lot of fun. Check it out here:
