Terri Clark, one of the most pure and identifiable female country music voices has returned. Her latest CD, 'Classic', is a compilation of, well, classics that takes us back through several generations of country music history. With help from Reba, Dierks Bentley, Jann Arden, Tanya Tucker and Dean Brody, 'Classic' turned out to be a terrific collection of songs, done extremely well.

One has to appreciate an artist who pays tribute to the songs and artists who inspired them to be what they became, and what they are. Not only does Terri Clark do that with 'Classic', but she also shows off her fantastic voice once again. Clark took on the task of remaking some of the most important pieces of country music history (dating back as far as Hank Snow's 1950 hit 'I'm Movin' On'), updating them, but still retaining the integrity of the original recordings. What resulted is a great listen.

Terri Clark 'Classic' Track List:

1 - 'It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels' (Originally performed by Kitty Wells)
2 - 'Love Is A Rose' (Linda Ronstadt and Neil Young)
3 - 'How Blue' feat. Reba (Reba)
4 - 'Don't Come Home A Drinkin' [With Lovin' On Your Mind]' (Loretta Lynn)
5 - 'Gendly On My Mind' (Glen Campbell)
6 - 'Golden Ring' feat. Dierks Bentley (George Jones & Tammy Wynette)
7 - 'Two More Bottles Of Wine' (Emmylou Harris)
8 - 'Leavin' On Your Mind' feat. Jann Arden (Patsy Cline)
9 - 'Swinging Doors' (Merle Haggard)
10 - 'Delta Dawn' feat. Tanya Tucker (Tanya Tucker)
11 - 'I'm Movin' On' feat. Dean Brody (Hank Snow)

Not only does Terri do all these songs justice, she breathes life into them. I would love to see a new generation of country music fans who have never heard of Kitty Wells and Hank Snow listen to Clark's renditions of these songs, then go back and listen to the originals. This is a great snapshot of country music history.
