"The Voice" has a tour in the works and will feature the contestants not the coaches. It seems the show that costs NBC a ton of cash ($2.3 million per episode to be exact), cannot afford the coaches salaries or at least they couldn't come to an agreement. So, the finalists Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Nakia, Xenia, Casey Weston and Frenchie Davis will cut their teeth on the road in late summer or early fall.

The show's super-star coaches, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine (according to inside sources), and organizers for the Live Nation tour wanted the coaches to join the contestants on the tour but apparently compensation talks stalled the negotiations.

Recently, we learned on an earlier blog that "The Voice" producers extended the show from one hour to two hours as it switched to its live performance shows.

One thing is clear, look for The Voice to return to NBC next year. The Voice helped NBC rake in the cash by charging $250,000.00 minimum per 30 second commercial during the show.
