Listen to Katie Armiger’s Newest Song “Safe”

Katie Armiger is back, the "17 in Abilene" singer/songwriter has just released her newest song titled "Safe" from her album "Fall Into Me". As I listen to "Safe" I'm hearing a young lady, not the 17 year-old kid that came to Abilene to celebrate her 17th birthday with KEAN listeners a few years back. This is a more mature and very sensuous woman singing about more intimate moments. Check it out and see if you agree, Katie Armiger has grown up.

Collin Raye Releases a Tribute Album to Glen Campbell That Includes the Classic “Galveston”

Collin Raye is back and this time he is paying tribute to one of my all time favorite artists, Glen Campbell. "I probably learned more about how to sing by listening to Glen Campbell records than I did any other way" says Collin. The classic song "Galveston" is Collin's first release from his tribute album 'Still On The Line' The Songs Of Glen Campbell. Collin has also recorded the classic "Gentle On My Mind" with Ricky Skaggs and "Rhinestone Cowboy" with Billy Dean. I think Collin did an awesome job remaking "Galveston" the first release from Collin's new album. Check it out.

The Top 5 Songs From the Winter of 2000

In the winter of 2000 the airwaves were dominated by song that was inspired by an e-mail hoax. The writer of the song, Harley Allen had received an e-mail about a little girl who watched her father kill her mother and then turn the gun on himself. The song was recorded by John Michael Montgomery who took the song to number one on the national Billboard charts for five weeks in a row. "The Little Girl" by John Michael Montgomery one several awards. 2000 also had other amazing songs.

Ronnie Milsap’s New Song “Summer Number 17″ Sounds Like it’s From the Fifties

Ronnie Milsap once said "we are shaped by the music we hear when we're young" that would explain why this six time Grammy award winner has blurred the lines between so many music genres like country, pop and R&B. Milsap has just released "Summer Number 17" from forthcoming album, and it sounds like a cross between R&B, country and pop. "Summer Number 17" brings back memories of the fifties. While I was listening to the song I was flooded with memories of when I was 17 footloose and fancy free. Give it a listen and relive the memories.

Rudy’s 2014 New Year’s Resolution is to Lose Weight and Get Fit

I've been struggling with my weight for 27 years. When Donna and first I married, I weighed 155 pounds and wore a size 30 waist pants. Today, with a little help from doctor prescribed steroids, I quit smoking, the lack of physical activity, my job and my poor late night food choices, my weight has gone as high as 337 pounds. To start my New Year off right, I am resolving to lose weight for 2014.

Joel Crouse’s New Song “Why God Made Love Songs”

Is it just me, or are there more country love songs being released now days? I can expect it from the superstars like Blake Shelton who stays a few months ahead of the seasons and/or holidays. Now add country newcomer Joel Crouse to those savvy enough to know when to release a new song like "Why God Made Love Songs." With Valentines day just around the corner I honestly believe this song will be big for Joel. It's only been out a couple weeks and it's already heating up the airwaves.

Listen to Keith Urban’s New “Cop Car” Song About the Bad Boys All Fathers Fear

Keith Urban scares me with his latest "Cop Car" song. As the father of five daughters, I know all too well what kind of boys I want my daughters to stay away from. Urban is that kind of boy in his latest tune. He and the girl get arrested for trespassing and the two fall in love in the back seat of the cop car. The chorus repeats "your daddy's going to kill me, but if I survive tonight, I wouldn't change a thing." Although the song frightens me a bit, I think it's an awesome tune check it out.
