Retail Stores We Wish We Had In Abilene
I know we are supposed to “buy Big Country first” but sometimes there are things you just can’t get here. Here are a few stores I would like to see here in Abilene.
We have a few department stores like Dillard's, Sears, JC Penney, Kohl's and Beall's but we need a Macy's. All the ladies in the office agreed. Macy's is a huge, multi-level store that has the best sales. We need something a little more "high end" to allow for some great competition and variety. Plus, they put on a great parade every Thanksgiving!!
Sam Moon Trading Company
What woman doesn't like Sam Moon. You can spend hours in this store. They have jewelery, shoes, handbags, hats, sunglasses, accessories of every kind. Sam Moon opened in 1984 as a wholesale company but in 1991 expanded to retail sales to the public. They have expanded even more now with Sam Moon home decor and Sam Moon luggage & gifts offering goods at affordable prices.
Burlington Coat Factory
Don't let the name fool you. This store doesn't just have coats. It is a department type store with men's, ladies, kid's, shoes, baby, home decor, coats and more. They offer discounted prices of up to 60% off of regular department store prices. They even carry designer brands at discounted prices.
Fanzz Sports Apparel
If you are into any type of sport then this is the store for you. No matter what team you support they will have the apparel for that team. If you are looking for caps, t-shirts, watches, or jerseys. If you're a man or woman. If you are a football, baseball, hockey, or basketball fan whether it be pro or college this store will have what you're looking for and a lot more.
If you like the outdoors then you will love this store. This store is huge and they have everything imaginable to make your outdoor experience a success. If you like camping they have tents to coffee cups. If you like hunting whether it be with guns or bows they will have what you need. Fishing, boating, clothing, auto or ATV's. Cabela's is another store I could personally spend hours wandering around just looking; doesn't matter if I NEED anything or not.
