I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could. I'm originally from Battle Creek, Michigan (home of Tony the Tiger). I've got two kids who take up most of my time out of the office, but when I get "me time", I'm either taking in some live music or a sporting event. Since relocating, I also fell in love with the Texas music scene. I've been lucky enough to be nominated for DJ of the Year 4 straight years by the Academy of Texas Music, and was the 2009 recipient of the Academy's Palmwood Award. I'm a huge sports fan, and my loyalties are with the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago White Sox and (sorry) the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dave is Caught on Video Attempting to Play Guitar
A while ago, I wrote a blog about New Year's Resolution ideas. As the start of 2013 came and went, I came to the realization that, while I offered some suggestions that I believe are pretty good, I hadn't actually chosen one of my own. So, I decided to put a resolution that I've been holding on to for years to task: learning to play a musical instrument...

Roger Creager may still be better known for his live shows, partying image and unmatched sense of humor and adventure than a studio musician, but that appears to be changing with every song he offers to radio. Watch This Skydiver Fall 8,000 Feet Without a Parachute — and Survive
I'm not a skydiver, and I doubt I ever will be. But people who do parachute from thousands of feet up in the sky have my respect. It's scary stuff. You hear about skydivers falling to earth without a parachute to meet with terrible injuries or death. But this 51-year old dentist not only managed to survive his freefall to earth, he walked away with no more than a few bruises! Chalk it up to clean
Dave Discovers that Rocker John Mellencamp Was a Country Music Artist 3 Decades Ahead of His Time
I was recently taking a cyber-stroll down memory lane, watching some of my favorite music videos on YouTube. I don't tend to dwell on how old I am too often, but when I do, I always seem to make interesting discoveries as the past relates to present day. This time, I discovered that rock singer John Mellencamp's 30-year old songs would make for great country music today.
